Rev. Drew Frisbie
PASTOR
Hello Snohomish UMC and friends!
My name is Pastor Drew Frisbie, and I’ve been with you all since July! I’m a fourth-generation Methodist pastor, and I was born and raised here in the Northwest. I grew up in Idaho and Oregon where the camping and youth ministry programs had a big impact on my faith journey. I spent summers as a young person working at various United Methodist Camps, where we used things like horseback riding and whitewater rafting to teach kids about God. I’m always looking for opportunities to connect faith communities that I serve in with God’s creation.
My wife and I have been married since 2013, and we have two sweet and rambunctious boys. As a family, we love to keep active. I’ve always loved to play sports and ski. We enjoy camping as a family, and we try to get out and go for a walk or hike as often as we can.
We’re a musical family! I sing, play guitar, mandolin, ukulele, harmonica, and percussion. I’ve found that music done well in community, has a deep and powerful impact on the ways we connect to each other and to our faith. I’m always eager to hear the songs that connect people with God, whether they’re strictly spiritual songs or not.
We’re also gardeners. The holy act of helping plants grow has had a big impact on my faith and my family. I love the fact that our church grows a vegetable garden to support the food bank so that we get to share God’s goodness in such a delicious way with our wider community.
One of the big wonderful changes our church made in 2024, is that Snohomish UMC voted to become a “Reconciling” United Methodist Church. This was a prayerful process that we went through to get to this point where we can fully and authentically proclaim our love and affirmation of our LGBTQI siblings in Christ. I’m so proud of our faith community for taking these steps towards becoming a more welcoming and life-giving church that truly loves all of God’s people. If you’re looking for a community where you can grow and be who God made you to be, I hope you’ll check us out. I’d love to meet you!
God Bless!
